It seems to be a known issue but seeing as there are no fixes yet, maybe you need more people to bring up the problem.
Ever since the 24H2 update, games have been freezing up the entire computer, forcing a hard-reboot with no other solutions.
And yes, I've tried re-installing/updating graphics driver, and pretty much every solution offered so far with no avail (some mention turning off Auto-HDR, some mention disabling multi-threading options in-game, etc.).
The only solution on specific game, POE2, that has worked is playing it on DirectX11 instead of DirectX12.
Apparently the issue is easily resolved by rolling back to 23H2, but instead of the users having to resort to finding a way to downgrade their updates, is there a fix coming from Windows any time soon?

Rog stryx 570 every chipset updated, amd driver up to date, firmware up to date, 3060ti 566 Nvidia driver. The Rog Asus app ensured all my drivers were perfect. Even my Samsung 970 EVO NVMw driver is the latest. Crash crash crash gaming. Switch to windows 10 pro NO More issues. Windows 11 I had clean installed on 25 December 2024. Now windows 10am pro clean install no crashes gaming. .
Coming up on a month after the update and still no patch. I held off on my PC until yesterday to finally do the 24H2 update and I've had nothing but DirectX crashes on games. I rolled back the update. With the amount of Windows users out there you would think they would have the bug fixed by now.

Which Windows 10 Pro version are you currently using? Are all the drivers and versions listed below up-to-date? If not, could you please let me know the exact version to avoid any game crash issues? Also, if possible, could you provide me with a link to the ISO file?
So December i installed Windows 11 Pro and it could only be 24h2. Shortly after noticed steam crashes esp 32 bit games, when loading somethings like battles. Tried HDR overlay etc. Nothing worked. No- I upgrade every driver- even BIOS meticulously. Anyhow, decided to try a clean Windows 10 Pro, updated every driver, even the 566 NVIDIA for the 3060 ti, reinstalled steam, mods.. NO CRASHES.
I do not know if Direct X (each game needs a different older version) was an issue- steam doe sit automatically. I do not care.
