In Win 10 File Explorer - selecting a pes file and properties, shows Adobe Acrobat DC file, not a PE Design file.
In Win 11 File Explorer attempted to open as an Acrobat file the file will not open.
Any ideas?

New computer running windows 11. File explorer not showing preview for *.pes files (Brother Embroidery Software), but worked with no issues in Windows 10. Have read all of the potential solutions with no help. Appears file explorer cannot find the preview and may be associated with Onedrive, but not sure.
Contacted MS support and they said it was a 3rd party software issue and not a MS problem. They just ignored that everything worked fine in windows 10.
Would appreciate any help.

When all else fails, it never hurts to do a repair install via Windows update. That will keep you apps and data. Detailed instructions here:

This is a head scratcher.
If you have another Windows 11 computer to test it on, I suggest installing there to confirm that the thumbnails work and, hopefully, spot some difference. If you don't have another machine, you can do what I did and test in a VM (Virtual Machine) at least as a sanity check. I use VMWare Workstation Pro (it's free for personal use) but any VM system is fine. I know that's a big ask, but it's a useful thing to have on hand for any future testing. It's great to test out software before committing to your main Windows build.
I wish I had a quick fix, but we already tried all the usual troubleshooting steps.
Do you have any security software installed other than Windows Defender? Do you have any software installed that modifies or enhances Explorer? Does your computer come with any software pre-installed by the vendor? There's an obscure bug in some backup software that comes with Megahertz motherboards, that interferes with Explorer, so you never know.

No other additional software that I could find was installed by the computer mfg.
Nothing installed that modifies Explorer and only Windows Defender as the security software.
It is very strange and cannot find a solution.
