Have not uninstalled and reinstalled yet but will see if that will fix the issue and report back.
windows 11 file explorer not showing preview for *.pes files

New computer running windows 11. File explorer not showing preview for *.pes files (Brother Embroidery Software), but worked with no issues in Windows 10. Have read all of the potential solutions with no help. Appears file explorer cannot find the preview and may be associated with Onedrive, but not sure.
Contacted MS support and they said it was a 3rd party software issue and not a MS problem. They just ignored that everything worked fine in windows 10.
Would appreciate any help.

There should be an optional save question in the software settings. You can open the program in OneDrive and choose to save it in another location.
(The folder symbol is not a "☁", which is generally not a OneDrive folder)

2025-01-11T15:11:43+00:00 Put some pes files on a usb stick, turned off onedrive, rebooted and tried to view the file and only have a flower. Something is broken in the way the files are working. It appears to me as Onedrive is looking for an image and cannot locate it, but just a guess on my part. Strange everything worked in Win 10 file explorer but not in Win 11. Clearly something changed.
