Hello,
I had a recent windows update on 15th January 2025. I have an update failure showing for - Dolby - SoftwareComponent - 3.30702.720.0 - Install Error - 0x8007013
Anyone else experienced this or any advise as to how to resolve?
I have tried running the updates again but get the same result.

Hi, I am Dave, I will help you with this.
That is a problem many people report with the drivers that Windows Updates tries to install, if that update is continually failing, then the best option is to use to official Microsoft Show/Hide Tool to hide that driver update to stop Windows continually trying to install that driver.

I'm getting the same error but when I check the driver update history I see that it has installed successfully multiple times since Nov 25, 2024. Maybe we should just try and cancel the update? I posted this to Dave to see his response as well. The link he sent doesn't appear to do anything.
I don't understand why so many people are having problems with Dave's link. I had no issues at all using it in Firefox. However, I also tested it in Edge, Chrome, DuckDuckGo and Opera.
Edge - Option to open or save
Chrome - Tags it as insecure, blocked
DuckDuckGo - Blocked
Opera - No issues

I'm getting the same error, but when I check the update history for drivers I see it has installed numerous times successfully, going as far back as a month ago, 11/25/24. Why does it keep trying to reinstall then? The link does not seem to do anything either. Please advise next steps. Thank you.
