Hello,

I had a recent windows update on 15th January 2025. I have an update failure showing for - Dolby - SoftwareComponent - 3.30702.720.0 - Install Error - 0x8007013

Anyone else experienced this or any advise as to how to resolve?

I have tried running the updates again but get the same result.

Hi, I am Dave, I will help you with this.

That is a problem many people report with the drivers that Windows Updates tries to install, if that update is continually failing, then the best option is to use to official Microsoft Show/Hide Tool to hide that driver update to stop Windows continually trying to install that driver.

    This is Microsoft in a nutshell - make an *official app to hide software updates* that should not be installed on your computer. As someone else pointed out, this is a W10 driver and I have W11.

    Hola,

    Tuve una actualización reciente de Windows el 15 de enero de 2025. Me aparece un error de actualización para: Dolby - SoftwareComponent - 3.30702.720.0 - Error de instalación - 0x8007013

    ¿Alguien más experimentó esto o tiene algún consejo sobre cómo resolverlo?

    Intenté ejecutar las actualizaciones nuevamente pero obtuve el mismo resultado.

    Tengo exactamente el mismo problema. Rsto me distrae y no me deja trabajar tranquilo . Me extraña que Microsoft tenga aun estos problemas tecnicos.
