Hello,

I had a recent windows update on 15th January 2025. I have an update failure showing for - Dolby - SoftwareComponent - 3.30702.720.0 - Install Error - 0x8007013

Anyone else experienced this or any advise as to how to resolve?

I have tried running the updates again but get the same result.

Hi, I am Dave, I will help you with this.

That is a problem many people report with the drivers that Windows Updates tries to install, if that update is continually failing, then the best option is to use to official Microsoft Show/Hide Tool to hide that driver update to stop Windows continually trying to install that driver.

    So do you think it is an issue with Version 24H2? That is what is loaded on my Lenovo T14?

    Install Windows 11 23H2 or 22H2 this versions not have Dolby Driver Issues...

    I was able to use the Windows Hide/Show dialog referenced throughout this blog to finally "hide" the issue (update) . Because my Lenovo T14 G1 is sort to my back up I went so far as the reformat my hard drive and reinstall windows 11 this weekend. Within ~ 5 minutes the software update came through . It was at this point I was able to hide it. That band-aid seems to work. Hopefully either Lenovo (in my case), Dolby, or Microsoft will fix the issue because it seems to be occurring a lot. Didn't happen on my wife or my T14 Gen 5 computer.
