Finally found a fix for this "2025-01 Cumulative Update for Windows 11 Version 24H2 for x64-based Systems (KB5050009)" stuck on installation.

Go to Settings, System, Recovery, under "Fix problems using Windows Update" select "Reinstall Now". A blue window popup "We'll repair components and system files, add check on "Automatically restart my PC 15 minutes after installation", then click OK on Windows 11, version 24H2 (repair version) and downloading start, it takes about 20 to 30 minute. When finish restart option appears, restart to finish the installation as normal updates.

Once PC boot you can see on Windows Update the restart prompt for "2025-01 Cumulative Update for Windows 11 Version 24H2 for x64-based Systems (KB5050009)" disappear.

i got an error code as well 0x800f081f

I just bought this computer less than 2 weeks ago and some updates have downloaded and installed but this one will not. the update I'm having problems with is 2025-01 Cumulative Update for Windows 11 Version 24H2 for x64-based Systems (KB5050009)

I have the same problem on my 2-years old laptop (HP Envy).
The install error code I get: 0x800f0991
