Hello I am having the same error 2025-01 Cumulative Update for Windows 11 Version 24H2 for x64-based Systems (KB5050009). Basically I have tried to use windows update to receive this update. The behavior persisting is that Windows update gets to 73% and the update bar jumps from 73% to 100 percent then lists that the update failed.

I just received my new computer and its set up the way I would like after spending last weekend downloading my software and setting up the computer it bothers me to know a new computer with a windows 11 OS cannot receive this update.

    Please advise?

I'm wondering if Microsoft will be fixing the update soon seeing how many people are getting the same error codes Install error - 0x800f081f.

    Thank you

    This should help.

Same here. I thought the issue was fixed and now the update installation is trying again and has been stuck at 0% since yesterday.

    I found this article:

    Slightly more baffling.

2025-01 Cumulative Update for Windows 11 Version 24H2 for x64-based Systems (KB5050009) successfully installed on 15/01/2025, but the installation has repeated every day since and (unsurprisingly) failed. The same error code - 0x800f081f

    HP Notebook if that helps.
