WIN 11 update failing, showing error 0x800705b4

Thanks Buzzamen. I took the easier route, just called microsoft support. They reset the OS and it's working fine now.

I had many failed updates with 24h2 and found that an intel service was timing out during the update and causing an error that caused the update to fail. I uninstalled the Intel software.

This was only one of many problems I have experienced with this update.

This update is the worst in my MS experience going back to windows 3.11

It is crap and the MS techs are not being honest about the multiple problems it has caused.

I have talked to them for hours multiple times about my repeated failures to install this update

I was guided by MS support tech to reinstall Windows 11. It fixed the issue

I think my problem had to do with Intel update tool installing an update that was later than the Intel update that MS was offering as part of their update service. Once MS offered the same Intel update as was installed by the Intel update tool, the problem seems to have corrected itself. However, I still have the problem that Win 11 doesn't recognize me as an Administrator and I cannot open any of the Administrator tools without some kind of work-around.

MS guided me through this step earlier in the process of straightening out my update problems but it didn't work at that time. Since then, the correct, and latest Intel update, was downloaded using the MS update tool and it finally cleared up this issue.
