Windows update (24H2) causing wifi issues

Hi,

I installed the new windows 11 24H2 update about a week and for whatever reason my wifi drivers have stopped working (specifically the Killer (R) Wi-Fi 6E AX1675i). The wifi option itself no longer appears.

I have tried a number of the solutions listed on this forum involving troubleshooting, a network reset, entering the netsh/ipconfig commands on CMD for TCP/IP reset, uninstalling and reinstalling the drivers, restarted the router (not the modem, but I don't think this should be an issue as other devices seem to connect just fine) and nothing seems to be working. I didn't realize that I hadn't approved system restore, so I don't have a restoration point I can restore to. Uninstalling the update doesn't seem to be doing anything either (I am fairly sure that I uninstalled the correct update, but I could be wrong).

I have an Acer Swift Go 14 device (i7-1355u). I am not super technically adept, so I am not sure the following will cause any issues with connecting or not, but I have the Cisco AnyConnect Adapter driver, a VPN driver (Tunnel Bear), the Bluetooth Personal Area Network driver, a Realtek USB driver, and a bunch of WAN Miniport drivers as part of my network drivers.

Currently, I can only connect to the internet via an Ethernet connection.

Any help would be appreciated.

    Hi i have dell 8core inspiron 3671 : running 24h2 32 gb ram . Recently i noticed my usbwifi stick was delaying on boot up connecting to the internet.then it stopped finding dhcp server at all.I connected an ethernet cable to a wifi pod and i had internet again.Tonight i installed windows preview update and now my ethernet nor usbwifi can connect to dhcp server. As its 3.20am here i plugged out my router for 1 minute plugged it back in.i will check my pc in the morning(typing this on my android phone).my old qualcomm 2.4gz wifi card is only thing on my pc that connects atm.

    Some suggestions for you to check:

    1. Try to check if this involves W11 24H2, 22H2 or affects also Windows 10 devices. There are some changes related to 802.1x authentication included within W11 security hardening (ie. Certification Authority validation, or Credential Guard, to name a few)
    2. Clarify if the issue actually involves 802.1x or involves later DHCP. Event Viewer > Applications and Services Logs > Microsoft > Windows > Wired AutoConfig / WLAN AutoConfig > Operational Logs would have a sequence of coded Events that might help in understanding the stage during which WLAN processing is failing.
    3. If WLAN processing seems ok, test if DHCP scope where leases are assigned after Key Exchange is hosting any invalid Options. We had some confirmed cases where errors were due to some

    Sure seems like the update is the issue, here is our latest experience

    Brand new Dell Latitude 5550 yesterday, 1 hour into doing windows updates and the wifi controls are no longer available, they were when we started the update process. We reinstalled older drivers, new ones, all sorts of resetting this and that, the only thing that brings the wifi options back for us was to roll it back before 24h2 then turn off updates. The same thing on a 1 year old Lenovo Thinkpad e15. Plugging in a usb wifi adapter installs and we see it in device manager, but still the options to actually join any wifi network are missing unless we revert back to 23h2.

    I HAVE A SAMSUNG BOOK5 PRO LAPTOP AND EVERYTHING WAS WORKING UNTIL THE UPDATE. THE DEVICE BOOTS UP, WIFI CONNECTS BUT UPDATE SHOWS NO CONNECTION AND THE MICROSOFT NEWS WIDGET WON'T CONNECT. I CAN SURF USING ANY BROWSER.

    IN ORDER TO GET UPDATE AND THE WIDGET TO CONNECT, I HAVE FOUND THAT IF I DISCONNECT MY WIFI CONNECTION THEN RECONNECT UPDATE AND WIDGET RESUME FUNCTIONING.

    THIS OCCURS EVERYTIME I BOOTUP.

    Hey, unfortunately router reboot was one of the first things I'd tested and was no luck, even tweaking the router settings wasn't much help, I believe the only thing left is an updated fix from Microsoft..
