Antimalware service executable eats memory

title. it's always taking 200-300 mb of memory.

I tried:

disable windows security, got hit with this setting is managed by your (non existent) administrator

end task, got access is denies

command prompt things, did nothing

edit group policy, did nothing

enable disableantispyware in regedit, got hit with access is denied

tried to give myself permission to enable disableantispyware, access is denied

in case I missed any, I basically tried everything you can find online. no matter what I do, either nothing happens, access is denied or this setting is managed by your administrator

I'm about to flip this is my computer, I should get to choose what to do. I am the administrator and only user

    I just did the commands and is restarting but it won't open again and this time startup repair won't work either. I tried everything, but it's happening again. Either stuck on 'dynabook' screen or 'your pc failed to start'

    I got in but now start menu doesn't open, as well as all toolbar buttons other than app buttons. I tried restarting again. Panic panic help

    Already tried restart windows explorer in task manager

    I'd suggest rolling back the system to a previous restore point. You can start System Restore by running "rstrui.exe".

    (or)

    Since the Defender ATP couldn't be offboarded manually, you may consider resetting Windows with the Keep files option.

    To reset Windows 10 keeping files, open Settings > Update & Security > Recovery, click “Get started” for “Reset this PC,” choose “Keep my files,” select “cloud download”, click “Next,” and “Reset.”

    Your apps and settings will be wiped during the reset.

    I can't do anything when my taskbar doesn't work at all. Help fix that first. My only restore point is from an update AFTER the taskbar stopped working

    The fixlist has created a Restore Point for you. Is that restore point not listed?

    You can launch System Restore by launching Task Manager (Ctrl + Shift + Esc) and running "rstrui.exe".

    By the way, did you create an image-based backup as I suggested earlier?
