After the 4 Feb 2025 update, Outlook New can't connect to my email provider

Everything was working fine until I saw the update finish.

There have been no other changes.

IMAP, SMTP and password info are correct.

charter.net doesn't recognize the Outlook (New) login attempt.

NOTE: This is a Windows 11 PC (4 months old). I can't, nor do I want to, go back to Outlook "Classic".

I can login to my charter account and see my email (only). I have additional family accounts in Outlook (New).

I am afraid of losing data (For a third time) because of this updated ***** program.

Any suggestions?

Today is just two days away from the "second Tuesday of each month".

On that date, at 10 AM Pacific, Microsoft will release Security Updates for Windows. So, on Tuesday morning, run Windows Update, to see if there is an update for "new Outlook" in the package of updates.

    Tell us the result.

Maybe, the 47th President will sign an Executive Order to "make it so".

How very helpful to make sure to insert political nonsense and not much else.

I am having the same issue. I am no longer able to obtain my Spectrum email on Outlook.

Same issue here. Everything worked fine until yesterday 2/9/25. Today when I opened New Outlook there were no new emails. Tried sending myself an email twice to see if that would work and got nothing. Meanwhile I've gotten at least 25 new emails on my phone's app (not a Microsoft account), but the two I sent myself haven't arrived so it's definitely an Outlook issue. Seems to be completely dead. What a mess.

PS- I'm also on Spectrum but since I'm getting the emails on my phone it doesn't appear to be a Spectrum (or any provider) issue.

Possible solution everyone!?? My wife found what I suspect is the same issue on her laptop when she tried to open New Outlook yesterday 10th Feb. I've discovered that Norton 360 was, suddenly, blocking access to the internet, for both New Outlook and for Edge. What I think must have happened is that Microsoft made changes to Outlook and Edge that caused NAV to identify them both as completely new Apps - for which it was set to block access! I tweaked the network protection settings in NAV and hey presto everything's working fine again. So, may be worth a look at your Protection settings and I very much hope this helps you.

    regards
