Would love to know if/when you have any progress. This is driving me bonkers!
After the 4 Feb 2025 update, Outlook New can't connect to my email provider
Everything was working fine until I saw the update finish.
There have been no other changes.
IMAP, SMTP and password info are correct.
charter.net doesn't recognize the Outlook (New) login attempt.
NOTE: This is a Windows 11 PC (4 months old). I can't, nor do I want to, go back to Outlook "Classic".
I can login to my charter account and see my email (only). I have additional family accounts in Outlook (New).
I am afraid of losing data (For a third time) because of this updated ***** program.
Any suggestions?

2025-02-15T15:01:12+00:00 Same here, new outlook trying to connect to my accounts, then fails, and blocked my windows account by trying to log in too many times, I had to reset my password.
I think I'll pass to thinderbird after this one. -

2025-02-14T15:06:20+00:00 See what is the right settings for outlook for spectrum email - Microsoft Community where the interim work arounds, until outlook (new) store app gets an updated pushed that fixes this, are . . .
a) if you can revert store app install from outlook (new) to outlook [ (classic) ] or mail app that ran separate from calendar app
b) configure outlook (new) store app using pop3 tls/995 instead of imap tls/993 same incoming mail server
c) use spectrum web app mail solution https://mail3.spectrum.net/ or alternative mail app in store supporting imap/smtp connections
You can revert back, but this is a forced update and Microsoft will just force it on you again. I already tried that.
I had the update, reverted back and it was forced on me again. -

2025-02-14T11:00:42+00:00 Hi Tom,
It's buried pretty deep - and as seems fashionable these days, every time I delve into the Norton Menus they seem to have changed.
But try this:
Home>Security>Advanced>Smart Firewall>Click on "Settings" Gearwheel>General Tab>Automatic Program Control>>Select "Smart" mode!
Hopefully that lets Norton recognise any Apps changed in this way as "benign" without creating any severe vulnerability.
Best of Luck!
