After the 4 Feb 2025 update, Outlook New can't connect to my email provider

Everything was working fine until I saw the update finish.

There have been no other changes.

IMAP, SMTP and password info are correct.

charter.net doesn't recognize the Outlook (New) login attempt.

NOTE: This is a Windows 11 PC (4 months old). I can't, nor do I want to, go back to Outlook "Classic".

I can login to my charter account and see my email (only). I have additional family accounts in Outlook (New).

I am afraid of losing data (For a third time) because of this updated ***** program.

Any suggestions?

I also have the same issue. Started last week and I have spent hours trying to fix it. Did delete the email account but now I can't get Outlook to see the account -- it tries to pair with Spectrum and then says "try again later. You might need an app password". Checked all over Spectrum website but nowhere is there anything about an app password - just your regular password. Back to Microsoft who says "spectrum's fault'. Nope. I will do as others have said and check my email on my phone and hope.

    Come on Microsoft!!

Today is just two days away from the "second Tuesday of each month".

On that date, at 10 AM Pacific, Microsoft will release Security Updates for Windows. So, on Tuesday morning, run Windows Update, to see if there is an update for "new Outlook" in the package of updates.

    Tell us the result.

The same happened to me with the initial update.
I am using Windows 10 and Outlook.

I rolled my computer back and the email started working again.
I paused the update until today (2/6). Now my email is not working again!!!
