- Enable the Security Center Service
Press Windows + R to open the Run dialog.
Type services.msc and press Enter to open the Services window.
Scroll down and find "Security Center".
Right-click on "Security Center" and select "Properties".
Set the Startup type to "Automatic (Delayed Start)".
Click on "Start" to start the service.
Click "Apply" and then "OK".
- Check Dependencies
Ensure that the services that Security Center depends on are running:
In the Services window, find "Remote Procedure Call (RPC)" and "Windows Management Instrumentation".
Right-click on each service, select "Properties", set the Startup type to "Automatic (Delayed Start)", and start the service if it is not running.
- Modify Registry Entries
Press Windows + R to open the Run dialog.
Type regedit and press Enter to open the Registry Editor.
Navigate to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\wscsvc.
Right-click on the wscsvc folder and select "Permissions".
Ensure that your user account has "Full Control" permissions.
Click "Apply" and then "OK".
- Repair the WMI Repository
Open Command Prompt as an administrator.
Run the following commands:
net stop winmgmt
winmgmt /resetrepository
net start winmgmt
- Run an SFC Scan
Open Command Prompt as an administrator.
Run the following command to check and repair system files:
sfc /scannow
- Check for Malware
Run a full system scan using your antivirus software to ensure that malware isn't causing the issue.
- Update Windows
Ensure that your Windows is up to date. Sometimes, updates can fix issues with system services.
