When do we expect a fix to this issue? It's affecting our business significantly.
KB5050094 Causes RDP Disconnects
Since computers installed update KB5050094 we are seeing RDP connections being disconnected randomly...sometimes after a few seconds or after a few minutes. We have confirmed that it was this update which caused it by removing the update and then testing, and RDP stayed active as it did previously without any disconnects. We then reinstalled the update and the RDP disconnects started again.
We have also tested this from Macs using the Windows App, and the same users who were disconnected on their Windows systems, where not getting disconnected from the Mac (so not the server end disconnecting).
Looking online, other users are reporting the same issue so this is not specific to our network, clients or servers.
As a note these are Windows 10 and 11 systems.

2025-03-03T18:33:13+00:00 Can Microsoft PLEASE fix this? It's ridiculous that our company can't conduct business properly while this issue remains.

2025-03-03T18:21:45+00:00 Our business has seen this start to pop up as well, very frustrating issue. It comes with an error code too that doesn't tell any more than that it's an error. Thanks Microsoft! We've had some success using the RDP app from the Microsoft Store but that doesn't work as well or as smoothly as a saved shortcut with the standard RDP client.
Microsoft, please fix this, you have taken a program that needed no changes and now made it useless, hugely impacting our customers and employees.

2025-03-03T18:02:33+00:00 Same issue here; we use RDP extensively, and this is a major issue that needs to be fixed. The fact that it's been around this long is terrible. Microsoft needs to get its act together.
