Hi all,

Getting Error on around 40 devices for Windows Updates: Installing Feb 2025 Security Update Win 10 64 bit (KB5051974)

We have 1000 devices total and it only seems to be occurring on around 40 of them, but its the same problem on each.

Windows Update forces restart and then after booting back up it says cannot complete update, reverting changes.

Have tried SFC Scannow / DISM Repairs but same issue repeatedly occurs. Also tried manually completing the updates by downloading from the catalog but same error occurs there.

Error Code Showing in Windows Update is : 0x800f0922

Any help would be appreciated.

    Hey Ramesh,

    Ah think the C drive is still bitlockered. We didn't turn it off. Should we boot back in, turn it off and then try some of these again, or will it be ok?

    Hi Haydar,

    The system will not boot into Windows now because the EFI partition has been formatted. You can use the USB setup disk to boot into WinRE, type the Bitlocker key and access the C drive.

    OK - So if we go into WinRE to get to the C Drive, are we still trying to reformat, or just check and see which files have copied over from the recovery partition?

    By the way, as per your Disk Management screenshot, Bitlocker is not enabled on the C drive.

    Maybe you enabled it later, in the last few days?

    So this is a new device with the same issue thats been reported. So Bitlocker was still turned on for it.

    But same thing had occurred where Feb and March CU were not applying and were reverting. and was giving the same error related to the partition drive.
