2025-02 Cumulative Update for Windows 10 Version 22H2 for x64-based Systems (KB5051974) (2)

Failed to install on Mon-Mar-03-2025 - 0x80070002

Either KB5050593 or KB5050188 currupted my ability to edit txt and bat files.

2025-01 Cumulative Update Preview for .NET Framework 3.5, 4.8 and 4.8.1 for Windows 10 Version 22H2 for x64 (KB5050593) Successfully installed on Mon-Mar-03-2025

One of these currupted my edit txt and bat command

2025-01 Cumulative Update for .NET Framework 3.5, 4.8 and 4.8.1 for Windows 10 Version 22H2 for x64 (KB5050188)

Successfully installed on Mon-Mar-03-2025

I tried all the work arounds and that didn't work.

    Everything went well. :) And I created a new restore point. All updates installed. Even KB5053606 installed and I have no problem with editing. I'm running

    DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /ScanHealth but I doubt if it will show anything wrong.

    1. You may run the following to cleanup the component store.
    • dism /online /cleanup-image /startcomponentcleanup
    1. Create regular registry hive backups to prevent this situation from occurring in the future. Acelogix RegBak can be run using Task Scheduler.

    This might help with the PcaSvc.dll error.

    1. Open Task Scheduler.
    2. On the left tree view of Task Scheduler, click on the “Task Scheduler Library” to expand the node.
    3. Keep expanding the nodes by clicking on the tree view in the following order: Microsoft -> Windows -> Application Experience.
    4. After clicking on the “Application Experience” node, find the task named “PcaWallpaperAppDetect” from the list view in the middle of Task Scheduler.
    5. Right-click on that task, click “Delete” in the pop-up menu. Then click “Yes” in the confirmation dialog box asking, “Do you want to delete this task?”.

    All updates installed except KB5053606 it's trying to install that now see what happens. :)

    I encounter similar problem as well after updated the latest windows update for Windows 10 service pack . And restarted my laptop become lagging , unresponse and wifi can't be connect. In the end I managed to o Open the run box by pressing the Windows key + R and type rstrui.exe and do the system restore and restart the laptop . After the system restore it seem okay with the previous version of service pack and after that I try to window updating again and get the same issue again and system restore again .
