Hi ,
It is not an error but a warning as soon as you create the unit you boot in legacy and then continue selecting the boot.

Hi,
My pc running windows 10 had the boot/startup error occur earlier today and it isn't the first time. Previously, I used a usb stick to use the recovery tools and it worked although this time it did not.
I decided to try to run some other commands in the command prompt that recreated a bunch of boot files and my bios now shows me 5 booting options; 3 named windows boot manager (previously there was 1 which I would boot from normally) 1 that was just named after my SSD, and the usb plugged in. I tried a few other options but I kept running into errors such as this one and inaccessible boot device. Is there any other method? Am i able to just reinstall windows without losing anything?

Sorry, I booted from the iso/usb and went to install windows as you initially detailed and i still encountered the same format error. Could you detail any steps I need to take after I have the iso ready in order to properly do this?

Did you boot as legacy on the USB flash drive?
Is the BIOS boot device only legacy?
If so, the error still occurred, we can try to convert the MBR to GPT.

These are my boot settings in bios.
The usb is still named uefi: … in the boot menu as well. Are these settings what they should be for this method before I try to convert to GPT?

There is the problem, you will change this to only legacy saves after saving, access the bios, go to the boot pattern, take a photo and post it here.
