common boot 0xc000000f error inquiry

Hi,

My pc running windows 10 had the boot/startup error occur earlier today and it isn't the first time. Previously, I used a usb stick to use the recovery tools and it worked although this time it did not.

I decided to try to run some other commands in the command prompt that recreated a bunch of boot files and my bios now shows me 5 booting options; 3 named windows boot manager (previously there was 1 which I would boot from normally) 1 that was just named after my SSD, and the usb plugged in. I tried a few other options but I kept running into errors such as this one and inaccessible boot device. Is there any other method? Am i able to just reinstall windows without losing anything?

    Hi ,

    Recreate the boot partition

    CHKDSK /R /F D:

    Bcdedit /export d:\BCD_Backup

    ren D:\boot\bcd bcd.old

    Bootrec /Scanos

    Bootrec /Rebuildbcd

    Bootrec /Fixmbr

    Take a picture after the commands and post it here.

    The commands have already been executed, try booting again but do a boot test in Windows Boot Manager and another with UEFI: SSD

    Hi,

    For some reason there are 3 windows boot managers in my boot options. I tried running all of them along with my ssd and even the usb. The first and third windows boot managers gave me the inaccessible device error and the second told me about recovery and needing the usb.

    When I tried launching from my usb it seems to also have a problem as I’m getting the same error there.

    So in this case the best option would be to reinstall Windows, there is a procedure that is possible while keeping the files.
