Win 11 Widget Board all Black - asks to install Dependencies, but nothing happens...

Just had to reinstall Windows 11, 2h24, on our Lenovo T15. Everything works fine but the Widget Board. When I click the Taskbar Icon (shows no activity) the Widget Board loads but is nothing but black. When clicking on it, a message says "Additional Dependencies are needed to download and install" But when I click the install button the circle starts turning around. On and on forever. Nothing happens.

How do I fix this issue to make the Widget Board work again?

    Hi again Ramesh,
    The NAS I am about to build is a Synology NAS. Realtek Processorseries. Model RTD1619B, 1,7GHz

    I will build in a 960GB SSD Disk supported by Synology. I still need the D-Frame to finish the job.

    AI understand the purpose of making File History store the files and folders here for backup. But The Macrium Reflect I need to know more about as the NAS unit will be on our wireless network. I am an old Norton Ghost fan and I wonder how Macrium Reflect will be able to restore a system disk image on the computer if Windows is heavily damaged and can't be accessed.
    Anyway I will need to read more about Macrium when the NAS is up running.

    Hi Anders,

    The external SSD can be used for Macrium backups for both systems. On the SSD drive, create separate folders for each system.

    The NAS would also be a nice option for backing up two or more systems. If it will be powered on 24/7, build the NAS with an ultra-low-power CPU like Intel N100 (or specific Celeron models) with 8 or 16 GB of RAM. You can use it for File History and Macrium Image backups. If you're building your own NAS, consider TrueNAS (free) and set it up with the RAID configuration.

    Maybe you can have one copy on the NAS and the mirror copy in your external SSD.

    Hi agsin Ramesh,

    Okay. The reason fir askingis that we have two Laptops, no Desktop, and it is a bit clumsy to ha e an external drive attached all the time.

    The File History setup can be configured to my upcoming NAS and run scheduled backup.

    I have a 950GB SSD External harddrive. Can it be used for the Macrium Reflect Image creation and image updating for both our Laptops - or - should each Laptophave its own Ex. Harddrive.

    What is your opinion? (Working with Macrium)

    Hi Anders,

    Yes, one WD Elements drive is always attached to my PC for File History and Macrium Reflect scheduled backups.

    If you don't plan to take backups regularly, you can have it disconnected and connect it only when necessary.

    But the WD drive designted to Macrium Image backups, must be attached to your computer all the time for Macrium to update the Image on a regular basis, right?
    I will, later, purchase Macrium, so if okay with you I might come back with a few questions.
