Latest Update Turns My Screen Green [Dolby Vision]

So, since the latest update Dolby Vision seems to be now forced on for me. Even though it is not ticked in the settings, it still forces it. It turns everything on my screen green. Then if I go into the settings, I turn it on and back off it fixes it. However, when running certain games, it launches with Dolby Vision activated. It's really annoying. When I restart my PC, it kicks back on too and everything goes back green.

Anyone else have this issue?

    Just downloaded the latest cumulative update today and encountered the same issue. Running RTX 4090 FE, w/ a 42" C2 LG Oled. Fortunately came across this thread after a couple of hours of troubleshooting.

    Previous posts by "SamSaber1" and "Spitfire Spud" were helpful. But issue persists after restarts.

    Annoying that there are comments dating 2 weeks back, no fix and one of the MS support responses was:

    ??? Older Dolby Vision displays ??? The C2 was released in mid 2022. Newer than windows 11 OS release. This isn't an issues of outdated hardware and disconnect of the display doesn't solve anything. It's a software compatibility regression. June 2025 cumulative update has reintroduced issues with HDR pipeline handling. The problem seems to be a buggy Windows HDR behavior.

    Between buggy various MS updates and unstable Nvidia drivers releases, it's about enough to make one go insane.

    Set up the Dynamic Output Range to Limited works fine to fix it somehow for the moment. Thank you (all) very much for this idea.

    Brandon,

    I went into my GPU settings and turned my RGB from FULL to Limited and that has resolved the issue. You could try that to see if it works for you.

    Same issue with an RTX 4090 and a 2024 Sony X95L TV. I went nuts trying to find a solution, until I realized it's the current broken implementation of Dolby Vision. Toggling off Dolby Vision in the Windows Display Settings fixed the issue and forced the display to use HDR10 instead.

    This bug first presented like it was a lack of bandwidth on my HDMI connection (even though I'm using the full 48GPS ports and cable). Turning off HDR or switching to YCBCR444 color profile in the Nvidia Control Panel would fix it at first, but resulted in lower image quality.

    Just when I thought MS finally solved the years long saga of broken/finicky HDR on PCs, they introduce yet another issue.
