Latest Update Turns My Screen Green [Dolby Vision]

Since yesterday (19.06.25) I encountered the same issue on my Sony BRAVIA XR-65A95L.

• Overnight all colors started to look wrong and everything had a green tint
  • I haven't changed any settings or installed new graphics drivers
• Turning off Dolby Vision in the windows HDR settings fixes the problem
  • I can reliably reproduce the faulty colors by enabling Dolby Vision
    • The TV supports Dolby Vision (Source)
      • When turning on Dolby Vision in the windows HDR settings the colors look wrong, but the TV recognises the image as a Dolby Vision image
  • On HDR 10/with Dolby Vision disabled everything looks normal/as intended

My Setup:

• The TV is connected with a certified HDMI 2.1 cable (This one)
  • The HDMI cable is connected to an HDMI Port on the TV with 4K120/HDR/eARC/VRR/ALLM Support
• The TV is connected to a NVidia RTX 4090 GPU (This one)
• My windows:
  • Edition: Windows 11 Home
  • Version: 24H2
  • Build: 26100.4351
  • Windows Feature Experience Pack 1000.26100.107.0

This may be wrong, but could the issue be a "bad" HDMI Handshake happening on windows? I've read that an HDMI green screen can be caused by that in some forums!

Yeah man, I mean I know its annoying... I have the same issue. Whenever I boot in it will wait until my official login (windows pic) loads to switch back to normal. Same goes for whenever my pc wakes... except then I have to physically go to "HDR Settings", the moment I click to go into that, it immediately fixes itself... my point here is... its not THAT big of a deal... I mean there ARE worse things. Dont get me wrong they have to patch this but, one would assume that they are aware of such and will fix this via next patch... if not... THEN we b*tch lol.

Yeah this is happening to me on the latest update too. Even though I have disabled Dolby Vision in settings, it is only a temporary fix as on the next restart everything is green/purple again and I have to go back into settings and turn Dolby Vision back on and then off again to fix it every time. Really annoying and needs to be addressed in a patch ASAP.

Yeah i had the same issue with the latest windows update around about the 5th of June when i updated. Every time i boot my pc it has a purple and green colour palette. ONLY fixes when toggling Dolby vision on and off under the HDR drop down menu in the windows display settings. There goes Microsoft pushing another update causing more problems and bugs. Good one fellas, think the quality assurance team needs some QA testing itself.

If you look under about for your LG C3/C2 it does show  Dolby Vision and the Version update for it. So yes those TVs have and can use  Dolby Vision. but it is not working right for I bet all of us.

Even adding a Hkey to DV under Display to permanently turn it off will not fix this.

PCIe Set to 5: tried 1-5 and auto.

For me I think I may have found a temp fix untill microsoft fixs this issues. It is not our hardware.

For now I have used NVIDIA to just change one setting.

under Display>Change resolution>Tic use Nvidia color settings> only thing to chnage is >output dynamic range> limited.

tested after power down and reset. Tested 10 times. Every time no more Green/Pink and HDR is still working and Game mode is still working.

With setting in windows for dolby vision turned off. This is I hope a Temp fix untill Microsoft Fix's the coding for DV to work as it should.
