Win10, Right click on pinned programs in Start Menu no longer have file list

I'm pretty sure this occured after the latest update (which is actually four updates). I removed all four updates and the right click latest file function is still not there.

The update was: March 25, 2025-KB5055063 Cumulative Update for .NET Framework 3.5, 4.8 and 4.8.1 for Windows 10 Version 22H2 - Microsoft Support

The first update removed as listed is KB5054978. I lost track of the other 3 updates installed at the same time.

THIS IS THE EXACT MAIN REASON I WOULDN'T GO TO WINDOWS 11!!!! I'll be glad when there are no more win10 updates!

How do I get this right click function back? Below is the menu I get when I now right click on a pinned start menu, program:

Windows for home | Windows 10 | Windows update

    Apparently, the two reports have now been merged into a "Collection" in the Feedback Hub. Below is the link to the Collection:

    I don't know if that link will work for anyone or not. Apparently, my previous attempt to send a link like the one above was unsuccessful, which is weird, given that the link was generated by clicking the Share option in the Feedback Hub.

    The Feedback Hub can also generate a different type of link. I've included it below, but I don't know if it will work any better for anyone. It's not clickable. It would need to be copied and pasted.

    Neither of those links worked either, but I think I found it by searching. I have upvoted and replied. I wonder whether it will get fixed. I don't think I have the time to roll back multiple updates, and try manually installing them.

    Process to recover from the jumplist failure on all affected computers:

    • Save personal files.
    • Restore the backup from before April 8, 2025.
    • After restarting the computer, immediately disconnect from Wi-Fi or put it in airplane mode to prevent automatic updates from starting.
    • gpedit.msc, Computer Configuration, Administrative Templates, Windows Components, Windows Update, Configure Automatic Updates, Disabled.
    • Reconnect to Wi-Fi.
    • Restore personal files.

    Process to check if Microsoft has already fixed it on just one test computer that previously failed:

    • Make a backup.
    • Click Check for updates on Windows Update.
    • Test, and if it still fails, restore the newly created backup.

    Hi Wildbilly,

    In my case, I had to do a "repair install" which undid a bunch of updates, and then pause updates for a few weeks. The hope is that this gets fixed by then.
