I'm pretty sure this occured after the latest update (which is actually four updates). I removed all four updates and the right click latest file function is still not there.
The update was: March 25, 2025-KB5055063 Cumulative Update for .NET Framework 3.5, 4.8 and 4.8.1 for Windows 10 Version 22H2 - Microsoft Support
The first update removed as listed is KB5054978. I lost track of the other 3 updates installed at the same time.
THIS IS THE EXACT MAIN REASON I WOULDN'T GO TO WINDOWS 11!!!! I'll be glad when there are no more win10 updates!
How do I get this right click function back? Below is the menu I get when I now right click on a pinned start menu, program:

There's no explanation. I manage 8 Windows 10 Pro computers, and the jumplists have disappeared on 6 of them. I don't understand why they're still working on the other 2.
The only thing I can think of is that the updates came automatically on those 2, and on the remaining 6, I clicked the "Check for updates" button before they started checking.
I restored the backup and let it update automatically, and the error appeared again, so the error isn't from pressing the button.

This is bizarre. I just pulled out my travel laptop to use at a fix-it clinic. The right click jumplist menu is suddenly now working. I had rebooted it numerous times re-updating and such. Here's the list of updates. I uninstalled a bunch and reinstalled them. Notice KB5055518 was the last reinstall ................................
What's new:
Since my March 2025 backup, KB5055518 no longer installs. I imagine it's been removed due to the errors it causes. Even if I restart and click Check for Updates, KB5055518 doesn't install. The jumplists work.
Only the following are installed:
KB5057056 auto-installed on my computer last night and viola, and the pinned and recent jumplists are back on the Start Menu apps. April 22, 2025-KB5057056 Cumulative Update for .NET Framework 3.5, 4.8 and 4.8.1 for Windows 10 Version 22H2 - Microsoft Support
I don't see any other updates installed after KB5055518, except for one that was installed right after KB5055518 later the same day.
