I cannot update my system.it keeps saying failed no matter how many times i press retry

Based on my search, the device in the first screenshot, identified by the Hardware ID "HID\VID_1532&PID_0098&REV_0200&MI_00", appears to be a Razer mouse. That would be the external mouse you're currently using, correct?
Meanwhile, the device in the second screenshot, with the Hardware ID "HID\VEN_PIXA&DEV_3807&Col01", corresponds to your laptop's Touchpad.

I've looked for drivers in the Microsoft Update Catalog or on third-party sites, but I haven't found any. It's a mystery. What I assume is that the device installs a driver automatically using PnP (Plug and Play).

The procedure I will suggest is a way to force the device to be reinstalled. This helps in similar cases with keyboards or other HID (Human Interface Device) devices that suddenly stop working.

• Right-click the device that contains the Hardware ID "HID\VEN_PIXA&DEV_3807&Col01" and select "Uninstall device";
• Then, restart your PC.

After restarting the PC, the device should be automatically reinstalled. Once the reboot is complete, check if the Touchpad is working properly.

If the Touchpad still does not work, go to the Device Manager and see if the device was actually reinstalled.

Yes i am currently using a razer mouse.I have tried uninstalling the device and then restarting my pc but the touchpad still cannot work.I have also checked whether the device is reinstalled,and it is.

I'm starting to suspect a hardware problem with the Touchpad itself.

It's been a while since I've had the chance to work with an Acer PC, so I don't recall whether using a mouse in the BIOS is possible.

Please try the following test:

1. With the Razer mouse connected, start the PC in the BIOS. Check if the mouse will work in this environment.
2. If the mouse works in the BIOS, disconnect the Razer mouse, restart the PC and start it in the BIOS again, and see if the Touchpad works properly.

(The procedure for starting in the BIOS is different on each computer. Consult your computer manual if necessary. Manufacturers usually make the manual available in the support area of their websites.)

This should help determine whether the Touchpad is being detected by the computer itself.

The mouse works in bios mode,after restarting and going to bios mode without mouse,the touchpad still does not work.
