I cannot update my system.it keeps saying failed no matter how many times i press retry

The error indicates that one of the update services is not running. This may be due to the service being disabled for some reason or possibly because the service is corrupted.

It's a good idea to begin by checking the status of the services. Try enabling and running them manually to see if errors occur or are displayed during the process.

Check the BITS and Windows Update services as instructed below:

1. Press "Windows key + R, type "services.msc" and click Ok;
2. Look for "Background Intelligent Transfer Service" and double-click to open the properties;
3. Set the "Startup type" to "Automatic";
4. Click "Start" in that same window and see if the service will start correctly;
5. Click Ok.
6. Look for "Windows Update" and double-click to open the properties;
7. Set the "Startup type" to "Automatic";
8. Click "Start" in that same window and see if the service will start correctly;
9. Click Ok.

After doing this, go to Windows Update and see if you can install the update.
