    Hi,

I’ve been trying to get into the WindowsRE using the steps you gave me but whenever I restart my PC it gets stuck on ‘Getting Windows ready. Please don’t turn off your computer’ for a long time. Right now it’s been taking close to an hour doing so. I tried doing this method twice already and it would just skip the WindowsRE after the PC finished getting ready

I will try your other steps too from the links and see if that helps.

    Hi,

Please access the Windows Recovery Environment (WinRE). To do so, click Start > Settings > Update & security > Recovery > under Advanced Startup, click Restart now.

How to access Windows Recovery Environment (WinRE):

How to access the Windows Recovery Environment in Windows:

    https://www.dell.com/support/kbdoc/en-in/000113309/how-to-access-the-windows-recovery-environment-in-windows-10

In WinRE, click Troubleshoot, Advanced Options, Command Prompt.

In WinRE Command Prompt, run these commands:

    mountvol Y: /s

    diskpart

    list disk

    select disk 0

    list part

    list vol

    exit

Using your mobile phone or camera, take photos of the output screen and share the images here. Don't quit WinRE yet. Two more commands need to be run.

    1. Please right-click Start, and click "Disk Management". Maximize the Disk Management window. Adjust the column widths in the top pane to ensure all entries are visible. Post a screenshot.
    2. Launch msinfo32.exe, and click System Summary. Resize the columns in the right pane to make the entries visible, and post a screenshot of that screen.
    3. Considering the other issues you're facing ("100 disk usage", etc), share your Farbar scan logs as well.

Download Farbar Recovery Scan Tool 64-bit (FRST64.exe)

    https://www.bleepingcomputer.com/download/farbar-recovery-scan-tool/

    (or)

    https://downloads.malwarebytes.com/file/mbst-frst64

Note: If Microsoft Edge or Chrome mislabels the Farbar Scanner executable as PUA/malware, choose to keep it by tapping … in the bottom bar, choosing Keep, and then choosing Keep anyway in the dialog that appears.

See this screenshot: https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/deployedge/media/microsoft-edge-security-download-interruptions/dowload-was-blocked.png. It's a safe tool used in most antimalware forums.

If the OS language is not English, rename FRST64.exe to FRST64English.exe.

Run the program. Don't check or uncheck any options. Click "Scan".

Add the two logs, FRST.txt and Addition.txt, to a Zip archive, share them on OneDrive or GoFile.io and post the link here.
