Explorer.exe high CPU usage after latest update, Win11

I am running Windows 11 Pro 64 bit version 21H2, build 22000.527.

After the latest update explorer.exe started to grab occasionally about 20% to 50% CPU power. Upon this high CPU time taskbar does not work, applications already on the desktop work though.

I have checked the desktop folder for any files missing the icon and I have also disabled OneDrive, did not help.

This problem is on almost all the time. It easies down occasionally but starts again. If I have the computer locked and log in again the problem starts immediately.

I do have some applications in desktop right button menu but they were there before the update without any problem(7-zip, WinZIP, NitroPDF etc).

This is quite annoying and prevents me working with the PC. The computer is Lenovo Thinkbook with 11th Gen Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-1165G7 @ 2.80GHz 2.80 GHz and 16 GB RAM.

Should I try to uninstall the latest update and is there a change that it messes up the operating system?

    Remove this key on regedit: "TestResults" in this location

    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\Software\Microsoft\TIP\

    I have the same problem, but the only updates i have are

    KB5013889

    KB5014697

    KB5014672

    And ive tried everything above and nothing seems to help. My computer is running at 100% cpu and it takes me 10 minutes to load and 10 minutes to open settings.

    Hey all, check out the KB5014019 CUM for 2022-05-28. I think this issue is getting better. I turned off and on the Auto Hide, along with combo's of the Auto Hide and Show on all displays. The highest the CPU for the Explorer.exe got up to was about 5% for only 2 or 3 seconds and back down. I have been running with the last CUM: KB5013943 CUM on 2022-05-10, with only minor issues, with Auto Hide and Show on all displays. This latest CUM is looking promising. I sure hope so.

    If I select "Show my taskbar on all displays" explorer.exe starts peaking up to 13% immediately and the taskbars on any display do not work. Deselecting it and taskbar on primary display is working ok.

    I'll stick to taskbar only on primary display setting for now.

    Mine has been steady for a while now, since the last three updates, but the Task Bar still has a bug.

    I use it hidden but is not showing all tasks as it is set or suppose to show, only on the main display (laptop) I have all tasks, the other two show only what is running on the respective display. They are hiding fine on all three displays.

    It's ok for me, I just have to move more the mouse to open a new task.

    The performance is fine. Actually after this last one I feel that it is running a little better overall.... a feeling.
