Feeds / Search application using all of the ram

I noticed that the PC started running slow today and opened task manager to see that System, Feeds (Search application) is using CPU and Disk quite heavily and as much ram that it can to pin it to 100%.

Is anyone else experiencing this behavior?

Update: Windows crashed and i restarted, same application started to ramp up again so i ended it.

Looking into events now.

    I have the same issue .... started yesterday.

    5900x

    3090 (1 month old driver)

    w10 (latest update)

    Disabling "News and Interest" did not help.

    I did this and the problem continued, but I hadn't ended the task on Task Manager. Once I'd done both (disabled the newsfeed thing on the taskbar AND ended the SearchApp/Feeds task), my laptop has been running better. I restarted it later on yesterday and it got stuck scanning and repairing the C Drive, so I forced it off, started it up today and so far it's looking fine. I've rescanned the C drive and nothing has been found :)

    I had this issue crop up tonight while playing Overwatch, my PC kept locking up and then I opened task manager, and sure enough Feeds was eating every scrap of memory. I do not have an nVidia card, I'm running an AMD 5500 XT, 16GB RAM, AMD Ryzen 5 2600X CPU. So there goes that theory.

    I've disabled News Feed for now, but this is a ridiculous memory leak.

    I just had the same thing happen on my computer.

    A Windows update occurred and then this happened, definitely something dodgy is the latest update. I hope Microsoft look into it asap.

    Killing the Feeds process in Task Manager resolved the issue but it shouldn’t have been consuming so much ram and disk in the first place.
