Feeds / Search application using all of the ram

I noticed that the PC started running slow today and opened task manager to see that System, Feeds (Search application) is using CPU and Disk quite heavily and as much ram that it can to pin it to 100%.

Is anyone else experiencing this behavior?

Update: Windows crashed and i restarted, same application started to ramp up again so i ended it.

Looking into events now.

    Lovely. - Getting the exact same thing here.

    Why is this "Search Application" thing now ruining my processing power the point where it repetitively crashes my PC?

    Can a Multi-Billion £££ company not set up an OS without something this egregious occurring?

    Is something actually being done or are they hoping that it'll magically go away without them actually putting effort in to fix it?

    Sigh, I'm gonna pirate windows superlite or something, because I have the same problem here on Windows 10 Professional. Is this some tactic to force everyone over to Windows 10?

    Just kill the process in the taskmanager and then turn off the feeds widget so it doest start up next time you reboot your computer, then reboot your computer and you should be fine.

    Just turn off the feeds/news widget so it doesnt run anymore, then kill the process in the taskmanager and restart computer. As long as the news feeds is turned off and not running on the taskbar you should be fine.
