Feeds / Search application using all of the ram

I noticed that the PC started running slow today and opened task manager to see that System, Feeds (Search application) is using CPU and Disk quite heavily and as much ram that it can to pin it to 100%.

Is anyone else experiencing this behavior?

Update: Windows crashed and i restarted, same application started to ramp up again so i ended it.

Looking into events now.

    Same problem, just appeared today after a mysterious hard, system shutdown and reboot. Lenovo, w 64 gb ram, Windows 10 fully updated. Feeds was consuming 22% cpu and 45 gb of ram. Machine was almost unusable until I killed the task.

    Anyone affected WITHOUT Nvidia graphics here? Not blaming Nvidia (I have Nvidia too and do not expereience this issue), just looking for anything in common.

    This just happened to me today. Feeds took up my full 32GB ram (took about 31 which made full usage to 100%).

    I have an AMD combo: 5600x and 6700XT so no Nvidea

    Which means it affects everyone across the board.

    Specs:

    Newest windows 10 update

    Gigabyte Aorus B550 AX V2

    Ryzen 5600x

    AMD 6700XT

    32 GB of TridentZ RAM (dual stick)

    NVME M.2 1TB SSD

    RM850xW PSU

    Hi all,

    I experienced this problem today as well. I too am running masterCAM like the OP. I am also using two monitors. I noticed many users experiencing this are using graphic intensive, professional software as well, which seems to be the only thing in common.
    I noticed the feeds process wating up all of my RAM when I started masterCAM, and opened a file. I received an "out of memory" error message and masterCAM crashed and my second monitor became disabled. I then ended the feeds process via the task manager, but it didn't improve and the animation during window maximization chugged. I disabled the news and events in the task bar, and restarted which seems to have stabilized things so far.

    I did not use any graphic intensive program nor do I have MasterCAM, I was watching youtube on Edge when Edge crashed due to the process hogging all the RAM.

    Sadly no trend to be found thus far.

    Hey Jarmo,

    I am not using nvidia or amd so I do not suspect this is nvidia or amd specific.

    Looking through the posts, I cannot find the 'secret sauce' just yet to see if this bug is linked to any hardware driver.

    to MS, Is this one being looked at yet?

    Loaded up windows 10 today and had the same issue "feed" was taking up 13gb of ram - not sure about a fix but if anyone was wondering for now while everyone is waiting.

    Right click task bar > News and Interests > Turn off - more of an avoidance than a fix but better then nothing for now!
