Feeds / Search application using all of the ram

I noticed that the PC started running slow today and opened task manager to see that System, Feeds (Search application) is using CPU and Disk quite heavily and as much ram that it can to pin it to 100%.

Is anyone else experiencing this behavior?

Update: Windows crashed and i restarted, same application started to ramp up again so i ended it.

Looking into events now.

Happened to me today. Came back to my PC after turning it on and going to eat some breakfast. Noticed everything was running incredibly slowly and that it would constantly stop responding to load. Opening up Task Manager after a bit of a struggle and yes it was Feeds that was eating up all my CPU and RAM. Never had this happen before but looks like it's a pretty recent issue so I blame some sorta background Microsoft update breaking PC's again.

    Specs:
    Windows 10 Pro
    Intel Core i5-7400
    16GB RAM
    256GB SSD System
    1TB HDD + 1TB SSD
Nvidia GTX 1060 3GB (Latest drivers version 512.15 installed.)

    Same issue here.

This issue does not appear to be hw dependent so I will not post the specs.

This has been happening since February and continues today (all WU patches applied to Win10 pro).

I would like to know if updating to win11 will fix this - with certainty.

    Thanks

    Hello Bogdan,

    Try this:

    1. right click on taskbar
    2. select news and interests
    3. turn it off

The issue does not seem to follow a pattern so I do not know how well this 'fix' works.
