Wow you are absolutely correct, after killing the process I tried hovering on the News and Feeds tab and again it started eating up all my ram until I killed the process again, I turned it off for now as a temporary solution and it hasn't happened again yet.
Feeds / Search application using all of the ram
I noticed that the PC started running slow today and opened task manager to see that System, Feeds (Search application) is using CPU and Disk quite heavily and as much ram that it can to pin it to 100%.
Is anyone else experiencing this behavior?
Update: Windows crashed and i restarted, same application started to ramp up again so i ended it.
Looking into events now.

2022-02-20T12:54:18+00:00 Same problem here - was playing Valheim on Steam and noticed it lagging horrifically, which is very out of character. Checked task manager and Feeds/Search was using >3,000MB RAM. Disabling News & Interests as described in this thread seems to have fixed the problem for now. (It's also quite useful in general, I used to get very annoyed with the massive tab opening each time I hovered over it by mistake :P )
Hope Windows pushes a bug fix for this soon though, can see it causing problems for a lot of people.

Anyone affected WITHOUT Nvidia graphics here? Not blaming Nvidia (I have Nvidia too and do not expereience this issue), just looking for anything in common.

Yes, older laptop with Intel HD Graphics. News and Interest feed starts to leak memory on Hover Over or click and never fully loads. This problem started with Search app randomly crashing, then developing into full memory leak and unintended system shutdown over the past week or so. Have to manually End Task and suspend News and Interests on the Task Bar to prevent recurrence. Not ideal, as I use this feature frequently.
