Most likely because you have dynamic virtual memory (AKA swap / paging file). So after memory leak uses all physical memory, virtual memory starts being used.

I noticed that the PC started running slow today and opened task manager to see that System, Feeds (Search application) is using CPU and Disk quite heavily and as much ram that it can to pin it to 100%.
Is anyone else experiencing this behavior?
Update: Windows crashed and i restarted, same application started to ramp up again so i ended it.
Looking into events now.

2022-02-20T08:46:01+00:00 This same thing happened to me this afternoon. I was running Rainbow 6 and then it suddenly crashed. I then opened chrome and it crashed before opening. I looked at task manager and saw that Feeds was taking up 14 gigs of my 16 gb of memory. I ended the task and it solved the problem.

Yes, older laptop with Intel HD Graphics. News and Interest feed starts to leak memory on Hover Over or click and never fully loads. This problem started with Search app randomly crashing, then developing into full memory leak and unintended system shutdown over the past week or so. Have to manually End Task and suspend News and Interests on the Task Bar to prevent recurrence. Not ideal, as I use this feature frequently.
