Feeds / Search application using all of the ram

Just to add to the topic...

Today I was using Youtube and all of sudden the mouse slowed up as if there was a virus attack. I had noticed pages were buffing before this happened. When it freed up enough to use the mouse I went straight to Task Manager and saw an app or program called "feed" or "search" and it was using +90GB RAM out of 128GB of RAM. I selected end task and it slowly released the RAM it was using. System is running ok right now. That was scary!!!

🤦 I ran into that yesterday and thought that it was a problem with the wireless mouse itself. It wasn't until everything froze up again this morning that I opened up Task Manager and found the search app using up all of my CPU, RAM, and Disk bandwidth. I suppose that I shouldn't be too hard on MS, though; they've only had 36 years to figure out how to make Windows not get in the way of running programs on it. I'm sure that they'll get it any decade now.

Like someone above, I was also watching YouTube. Alongside this, I was editing in Photoshop and had Lightroom Classic in the background. I have 32GB RAM and this is never system intensive at all (usually about 10-20% of my system RAM required).

I suddenly get a screen freeze on my external monitor where I was watching the YouTube video and the web browser screen went dark and was frozen.

Then my laptop screen started flickering to black as well. Then back again, then off again. I started to thinking it was my Nvidia GPU driver as some of the latest ones have been giving black screen issues. But after the constant flickering off and on, I finally got Task Manager to stay on my screen long enough for me to see that something called "Feed" and "Search" was using up ALL of my system RAM. Never seen this in my Task Manager before and never ever had my RAM used up like this ever before!!!

I am on a pretty high end gaming laptop with the following specs:

* AMD Ryzen 7 5800H 3.20 GHz (with integrate Radeon Graphics)

* Nvidia GeForce RTX 3070 GPU with 8GB VRAM

* 32GB DDR4 3200 MHz system RAM

* Windows 10 21H2

I have noticed there's an optional update for me called: 2022-02 Cumulative Update Preview for Windows 10 Version 21H2 for x64-based Systems (KB5010415)

I read above that somebody installed that and it seemed to have fixed the issue for them, so I'll be trying this.

I had the exact same experience at first, I found out that Feeds has something to do with the Server service in Services app. I restarted that service and it sort of fixed the Feeds problem but the server is still giving warning and errors in event viewer. Not really sure what the source of the problem is because I'm finding a lot of different problems.

I also installed the Windows update which didn't do anything with the event viewer problem.

Same thing here and don't have a Nvidia card.

Asus Strix G15 Advantage Edition. All AMD. Still on Windows 10.

Got an update and about an hour later noticed my fans spinning up. Checked task manager and feeds was using all the ram and made a 100 gb temporary file that I was looking for, but my computer locked up before I could find it. The space was back after the reboot.

After reboot the only update for today I found was KB5010472.

Turned off News and Interests and haven't had a problem yet.
