Feeds / Search application using all of the ram

I noticed that the PC started running slow today and opened task manager to see that System, Feeds (Search application) is using CPU and Disk quite heavily and as much ram that it can to pin it to 100%.

Is anyone else experiencing this behavior?

Update: Windows crashed and i restarted, same application started to ramp up again so i ended it.

Looking into events now.

    I have the same issue with News and Interests using all my RAM. How Can I disable this feature? I don't want or need Windows to provide me with articles containing News or Interests. This is horribly intrusive and a poor customer experience.

    Squeaky wheel gets the grease, Microsoft won't acknowledge the issue unless it's widespread

    Squeak squeak! I would just like a native weather thing on the toolbar that doesn't need to be manually killed and restarted in task manager every hour because windows is devoting 20/mbs of disk reads to the feeds app for 5 min periods when I'm doing something.

    Squeaky wheel gets the grease, Microsoft won't acknowledge the issue unless it's widespread and can only be pinpointed to them, which everyone has done with this thread. It also helps to show that it's a _current_ issue, if this was a thread with 2 posts from 2020 they'll assume it's fixed and a non-issue. Appreciate the link though.
