I had the same issue today at 7:45PM 18/02/22. My whole computer locked up, I was able to quit the process and it has been fine since.
Feeds / Search application using all of the ram
I noticed that the PC started running slow today and opened task manager to see that System, Feeds (Search application) is using CPU and Disk quite heavily and as much ram that it can to pin it to 100%.
Is anyone else experiencing this behavior?
Update: Windows crashed and i restarted, same application started to ramp up again so i ended it.
Looking into events now.

Download process explorer ( Process Explorer - Windows Sysinternals | Microsoft Docs). Run procexp64.exe as Administrator. Filter for searchapp, dblclick the greediest one, switch to Threads tab, sort by CPU descending and drop prinscreen here. E.G.:
(unfortunately mine doesn't misbehave so i cannot help directly)

2022-02-18T05:02:15+00:00 Ending the SearchApp task has quietened everything down for now - fingers crossed but I'm not feeling too optimistic!
I've checked my updates too, only one thing updated today (related to Defender Antivirus) and the same cumulative update as you JimmahChongah ( KB5010342) yesterday. Which includes something about the News and Interests feed - is that what Feeds is, which includes the problematic SearchApp? I have no idea with this stuff.

2022-02-18T04:40:51+00:00 Yes, I just had this happen to me too. I'm on a Ryzen 7 5800x and it used up 15gb/16gb RAM. I just ended the task as well. Hopefully it doesn't come back.
