Having the same issue, but even after turning off News and Interests in the taskbar. In task manager 'News and Interests > Search Application' is still running and hogging 97% of my RAM!
Feeds / Search application using all of the ram
I noticed that the PC started running slow today and opened task manager to see that System, Feeds (Search application) is using CPU and Disk quite heavily and as much ram that it can to pin it to 100%.
Is anyone else experiencing this behavior?
Update: Windows crashed and i restarted, same application started to ramp up again so i ended it.
Looking into events now.

2022-08-23T18:52:38+00:00 Same with me. Disabled and stopped "News and Interests"
The kicker is that when I restarted my computer the Intel graphics driver had gone corrupt! The Nvidia driver was fine though. I couldn't use my two monitors attached to my laptop until I got help from MS (which was good and efficient, I must say)

2022-08-17T01:38:47+00:00 I have the same problem, this happened just a moment ago. I think this app comes from News and interest, it's on the taskbar and takes up 21GB of RAM. We should blame this file (C:\Windows\SystemApps\Microsoft.Windows.Search_xxxxxxxxxxxxx\SearchApp.exe) for its naughty behavior.
Is this issue taken seriously by Microsoft?
