Feeds / Search application using all of the ram

I noticed that the PC started running slow today and opened task manager to see that System, Feeds (Search application) is using CPU and Disk quite heavily and as much ram that it can to pin it to 100%.

Is anyone else experiencing this behavior?

Update: Windows crashed and i restarted, same application started to ramp up again so i ended it.

Looking into events now.

I suspended 'feeds' and it is now not drawing a thing at all. I believe it was accomplished following your instructions - thanks

So it appears that this may also be related to Edge.

News and Interests definitely rely on Edge's rendering etc.

I can't turn off the paging file because some programs and games demand it, no matter how much RAM is installed. And I turned off the news feed and search for now

So it appears that this may also be related to Edge.

I opened a new tab in Edge and in the top right corner clicked on the 'settings' wheel then on 'Custom'

I deactivated basically everything in that window.
Then I clicked on 'Content' at the bottom a selected "Content off"

    Image

Restarted my computer and the feeds process now shows as 'suspended' and uses 0kb

Hopefully this helps someone out, or helps get to the bottom of why this is happening.

    Cheers,

    DC
