Feeds / Search application using all of the ram

I noticed that the PC started running slow today and opened task manager to see that System, Feeds (Search application) is using CPU and Disk quite heavily and as much ram that it can to pin it to 100%.

Is anyone else experiencing this behavior?

Update: Windows crashed and i restarted, same application started to ramp up again so i ended it.

Looking into events now.

Just had this happen to me as well. Put memory usage to 100% and caused system unresponsiveness. It took over a minute to open Task Manager.

    AMD R5 5600x

    6600 XT graphics card

    2x8GB memory 3600

This is a fresh installation of Windows (only 2 days old).

    Edition Windows 10 Home

    Version 21H2

    Installed on ‎3/‎9/‎2022

    OS build 19044.1586

Experience Windows Feature Experience Pack 120.2212.4170.0

The only third party apps I've installed are Steam, Vivaldi, Discord.

I've installed the latest Radeon drivers and AMD b550 chipset drivers.

I just (like 5 minutes ago) experienced the same thing. It's a pretty fresh PC and I only use it to game, so it was extremely weird for this to happen. Only thing that changed this past few days was me installing the Microsoft Defender update.

Looks like it could potentially be tied to AMD. I'm running:

    AMD 5600X

    16 GB RAM

    Nvidia 3080

    Had this same issue.

This is the second time but luckily its been about a month or so.

I thought turning the Feeds update to lower helped but guess not I've turned it off entirely now.

    AMD 5600X

    32 GB ram

    Nvidia 3070

    Latest Nvidia driver installed

    21H2 just updated with KB5011487

Seems to be okay now. I cant even see that process in task manager.

Same issue here, Ryzen 5600x, nvidia gpu and 32gb ram. Apparently this could be something related to AMD processors/chipset? Probably not, but i've seen mostly AMD users in a few replies
