Feeds / Search application using all of the ram

I noticed that the PC started running slow today and opened task manager to see that System, Feeds (Search application) is using CPU and Disk quite heavily and as much ram that it can to pin it to 100%.

Is anyone else experiencing this behavior?

Update: Windows crashed and i restarted, same application started to ramp up again so i ended it.

Looking into events now.

    Hello everyone!
    I started to have the same issue. The issue happened to me 3 times now since yesterday until I found out about it now.
    Here is the specs, I'll try to keep digging, see if I can find anything related to this.
    Note: I'm getting a feeling it starts quite suddenly and I don't know what causes it but it may be an issue with Edge or browsers in general. Why? The times the bug happened was mostly when I launched Edge or was using the built-in AMD GPU driver browser but it's a guess and I'm not really sure.

    PC specs:
    CPU: Intel Core i3-9100F
    GPU: AMD Radeon RX 6600 XT - Driver Version 22.3.1
    RAM: 16GB
    OS: Windows 10 - Build 19043.1586

    I've had 2 crashes now. Problem stopped after restart on both occasions. The laptop basically froze so even task manager wouldn't come up, and the cursor wrong move. Device doesn't recognize word mouse when I plug one in during this state.

    Tonight it started slowing down, but I was able to turn off Wi-Fi and bring up task manager when I noticed the memory usage at 99%, and Feeds / Search Application being the main resource hog.

    Lenovo Legion 5

    AMD Ryzen 7 4800

    Nvidia GEFORCE GTX

    Just an update to my problem:

    I dont know if MS did something but for mine the process in question is now marked as "suspended for system performance improvement", and no longer affects me.

    Maybe there is an update MS released that helped? Altho I did not manually install any updates, maybe it was an auto update I don't know.

    Hello Bogdan,

    Try this:

    1. right click on taskbar
    2. select news and interests
    3. turn it off

    The issue does not seem to follow a pattern so I do not know how well this 'fix' works.

    Started to happen to me also for the last 2 days, i havent install anything new or modify anything in my computer. there is any fix instead of end task from task manager when all the apps start to crash because i get out of ram memory? i have an i7 7700k CPU with 32GB ram. 2 ssd, 1070 gtx videocard.
    there is any way to disable the feeds?
