I noticed that the PC started running slow today and opened task manager to see that System, Feeds (Search application) is using CPU and Disk quite heavily and as much ram that it can to pin it to 100%.

Is anyone else experiencing this behavior?

Update: Windows crashed and i restarted, same application started to ramp up again so i ended it.

Looking into events now.

When I "End Task", it goes away, then a second later it returns in the processes. Is there a reason this process will not stoop running?

I've had the same problem... "News and Interests" was using 99% of my 8gb ram.

there is no Solution, just like your Toxic ranting wasnt a solution. I scoured the web looking for the solution, tried every hack. Only way to fix this is for Microsoft to disabled it. Disabled Cortana and still no luck. and then the next set of updates came out and undid everything.. so good luck.. maybe try not to be so rude next time youre looking for an answer.

PS.. Others getting involved helps to paint a bigger picture of the situation. I learned a lot from ALL the different people posting they had the same issue. I learned the ONLY thing everyone has in common is Windows.. thats the software that it comes from. I even learned exactly what folder Search Application can be found in. But as I said. each patch undoes any attempts at ending it. so take your toxic personality and aim it in Microsofts direction. Good Luck

Just turn off news and interest and end the feeds process in task manager and restart computer and you should be fine.
