win 11 does not auto login did 2days ago no problem, all updated about same time, have tried all the suggestions, netplwiz, regitedit mods the lot, double check pc name in domain, workgroup,

as the only person on this pc was happy when it auto log on  my laptop updated and auto log on no problems  if i set netplwiz and uncheck users must enter password  and put password in when i restart login screen come up with 2 accounts 1 with no picture as says password incorrect and the other (correct Accout) if i put pin into correct account all ok whats going on microsoft

    well reistalled with one drive not linked to pc and set tup netplwiz as above

    sorry still getting ghost account

    I'm stumped. I have no idea where it could come from if you're using freshly created media, wipe the drive so nothing can survive, and it appears before you even import anything at all.

    How about if you sign in with another MS Account? Or better yet there's a workaround here I haven't tried to force a Local Account during Setup in Windows 11:

    This would prove it's connected to the MS Account, during Setup of Windows. I wonder if Saltgrass has a theory. He ought to be lurking in a tough boot thread like this by now.

    well reinstaled and set up local account but can not set up netplwis as toggle in accounts sign in options is greyed out going to see if i can convert to my ms account

    note dont get ghost account and log in with password
