win 11 does not auto login did 2days ago no problem, all updated about same time, have tried all the suggestions, netplwiz, regitedit mods the lot, double check pc name in domain, workgroup,

as the only person on this pc was happy when it auto log on  my laptop updated and auto log on no problems  if i set netplwiz and uncheck users must enter password  and put password in when i restart login screen come up with 2 accounts 1 with no picture as says password incorrect and the other (correct Accout) if i put pin into correct account all ok whats going on microsoft

    nope does not work back to a ghost accounts password incorrect and real MS account netplwiz set up box uncheck passord eantered

    What does not work? Did you reinstall Windows? What ghost account with incorrect password? Did it set up your account during install as shown in the tutorial? What went wrong?

    ok reinstalled win 11 have done this many times everything fine asked to sign in during install with ms account no problems finished up so i went to run netplwiz ms account there, check box not there so went to turn off improved security windows hello went back to netplwiz unticked box entered password 2 times closed down then tried restart, restart came up with log on screen with a ghost account password incorrect

    and my real MS account if i clicked on my MS account put pin in ok log on if i go to netplwiz and check the box for users to log in with password and restart only my MS account show and ask for pin the whole purpose i would like it to auto log on as it has being doing as my laptop does

    What is the ghost account? Does it have a name? Can I see a picture?

    Did you enable the built-in hidden Administrator?

    As to the MS account appearing on Log-In screen asking for PIN after setting it to skip password, does a link appear nearby to change Sign-in Options, so you can change it to Password?

    Did you use fresh installation media for the latest version, wipe all partitions off the drive, not do any other hacks or modifications whatsoever, expedite all Windows Updates until no others are offered, then import the latest drivers and BIOS from the PC maker's Support Downloads webpage for your exact model. While there check for the latest Chipset, BIOS, Sound, Network, USB3, Bluetooth and all other drivers to compare with the version/date installled for that device in Device Manager reached by right clicking the Start Menu.

    how do i change it to log on with password not pin will try that

    Did you enable the built-in hidden Administrator? no did not see the point as it was a clean install with a fresh download win 11
