win 11 does not auto login did 2days ago no problem, all updated about same time, have tried all the suggestions, netplwiz, regitedit mods the lot, double check pc name in domain, workgroup,

as the only person on this pc was happy when it auto log on  my laptop updated and auto log on no problems  if i set netplwiz and uncheck users must enter password  and put password in when i restart login screen come up with 2 accounts 1 with no picture as says password incorrect and the other (correct Accout) if i put pin into correct account all ok whats going on microsoft

    Make sure the Security Info is up to date first in your MS account online in case it wants to send a code to verify your account:

    Click the link in Accounts > Your Info shown in your second screenshot under System Settings to "Sign in with a Microsoft Account instead"

    Put in your MS Account email and let it convert to MS Account.

    When it asks for the Local account password "one last time" be sure to put in the Local account pw and not the MS account password.

    Ok this is what I have so far

    Ok this I believe is a local account, works ok,  so now do I just sign in with a Microsoft account now

    1. Create a new Local Admin account and sign into it:

    1. If it works correctly then move your MS account files over in File Explorer via C:\Users. It will grant access to the new Admin account to access your MS account with a green progress bar across the address box which might take a while, then you'll have access to the MS Account User folders. From each one (Desktop, Documents, Pictures, etc.) choose Home tab, then Select All, then Copy. Now go to the new account corresponding folder from Explorer bar on left side, from Home tab choose paste. Do this for each User folder.
    2. Now you can either delete your old MS account in Settings > Accounts > Family & Other Users, or if you want to keep it as a backup account, change it to a Local Account in Settings > Accounts > Your Info > Sign in with a Local Account Instead. This frees up your MS account email address to be moved to your new account.
    3. Restart PC, sign into new account, change it to your MS account in Settings > Accounts > Your Info > Sign in with a MS Instead.

    ok at the moment i have a local account as admin now are u saying i should move over my apps ect then sign in with a Microsoft account

    the local account is just my name

    microsoft has email address as user name

    there is no other account on the pc just the local account

    sorry if iam a bit dim can not understand you just can you give me the steps to do

    1 i am login on local account netplwiz

    Should i now sign in with my microsoft account now

    do not understand what u mean add the MS account email to it
