win 11 does not auto login did 2days ago no problem, all updated about same time, have tried all the suggestions, netplwiz, regitedit mods the lot, double check pc name in domain, workgroup,
as the only person on this pc was happy when it auto log on my laptop updated and auto log on no problems if i set netplwiz and uncheck users must enter password and put password in when i restart login screen come up with 2 accounts 1 with no picture as says password incorrect and the other (correct Accout) if i put pin into correct account all ok whats going on microsoft

what i have at present is a MS account it converted the local account to an MS account now there is only 1 account i think the problem is with the users in C:\
netplwiz is shown user mike and it will look in C;\ user for mike but there is NO user folder called mike there is just the following folders
What exactly happens when you choose Sign in with a MS Account Instead?
The new account is using the old MS Account folder, the name does not change on the folder when you change to a Local Account even though you are asked to give it a new name - it only is for the account, not the folder.
It seems the new Local Account is corrupted, too, if it cannot convert to a MS Account.

One last thing you can do is back up your files, enable the build in hidden Administrator account used for emergencies, sign into it to delete all accounts including the User folder.
Restart Windows and then try adding the MS Account in Settings > Accounts > Family & Other Users > Other Users.

followed your steps no problem but did not work
1 can not understand netplwiz propertys say user name Mike but there is no user name in C:\ users
2 followed your steps create a new MS Admin Account in Settings > Accounts > Family & Other Users > Other Users. Something went wrong ******@hotmail.com has already been added to this PC.
The C:\Users folder does not change it's name without a special registry edit I can give you which must be followed exactly or Windows will fail to start.
What exactly happens when you follow the steps I gave to add the MS email to your new Local Account?
If it won't work then use your MS Account email to create a new MS Admin Account in Settings > Accounts > Family & Other Users > Other Users. Make it an Admin account:
