Windows 10 Pro display different languages when right clicking on the taskbar

Hey Greg !

I just reported it with the Microsoft Feedback Hub app.

After recovering the image the following updates where made by Windows Update:

KB5010342

KB4023057

KB5010472

KB5010415

KB5009467

KB890830

KB5005463

Servicing Stack 10.0.19041.1525

I restarted several times after each of these updates and all the menus where as they should.

A couple of hours later I power up the PC and it's back to square one again !

I then proceeded to uninstall every update I could as follows:

KB5010472 uninstalled X 1

KB5010415 uninstalled X 2

KB5010342 uninstalled X 3

KB5009467 uninstalled X 4

KB5005539 uninstalled X 5

KB4023057 Not Possible to uninstall

KB890830 Not Possible to uninstall

KB5005463 Not Possible to uninstall

Servicing Stack 10.0.19041.1525 Not Possible to uninstall

Still no solution :(

Yes, unfortunately this is most probably due to the fact that Microsoft has shipped and digitally signed all the files for the Swedish LXP update as if proper, yet somewhere along their compilation process something must have gone wrong and the compilation fallback pulled English strings instead of Swedish for some of the resources. This is an educated guess, of course. As far as a fix goes, I'm guessing Microsoft needs to be the one to step up here, following Greg's advice would be a good starting point though.

If you want To report this bug to Microsoft use the Feedback Hub app in Start Menu where developers are tasked to process consumer feedback. They will not even see it here. This is a tech forums staffed mostly by volunteers trying to help with your problems.

I have also showed you how to roll back Updates which cause problems and then block them. Even if the Update is not available to be uninstalled, I showed you how to System Restore to before it installed and then block it.

Very interesting find!

I installed both the Danish and English language packs and all menus were displayed correctly on respective language.

I then uninstalled my native language Swedish and downloaded and reinstalled it and thought it would finally work.

Unfortunately back to square one ?????
