Ethernet keeps disconnecting

So I just got a new PC, everything works smoothly, however whenever I try to plug in my ethernet, it'll connect for a random amount of time (few hours or few days) and then mysteriously it disconnects.

I try unplugging and replugging it into my PC but with no results. Only when I remove it from the router and replug it in to a different port does it finally connect, but this is only a temporary solution.

Any ideas?

Drivers don't need updating, I've already checked.

    I also have AT&T and I know it is not my service. We have a brand new router and my husband has no issues. Wireless works fine. I am hardwired from the router to the docking station and it still disconnects.

    Well it's looking like my solution is going to be returning the Surface Pro 8 for a refund and getting some other device. I think I'm done with the Surface tablets for good. My previous one-- Surface 4-- had the expanding battery problem and this one can't keep an ethernet connection. I hope everyone else gets their issue here solved (or maybe some day Microsoft will step in)

    Do you have this issue with the ethernet connected to the device, or some sort of docking station? We're having this issue with Windows 11 Devices when they're connected to a dock (Dell and Microsoft Surface Docks). We're looking into the dock stations, but there are no issue with Windows 10 devices. We have a feeling it is something with the VLANs or something else.

    Yes! I am using a docking station. And unfortunately, since it's a new machine, it doesn't come with an ethernet port. Is there a workaround for this?

    So technically the only workaround I found was using WiFi.

    We have 3420 Dells, so we actually found that plugging the ethernet into the dock was the "fix." We still haven't found anything on our surface devices (Surfacebook2, Surface laptop 3 and Surface Laptop 4) all have this disconnection issue. We have been telling our users to not to update to Window 11s. If they, then we tell them to disconnect the ethernet and use WiFi. I have been having this issue at my org for about 2 months and I have no idea. Something up with the network is only thing left that we didn't touch.
