Ethernet keeps disconnecting

So I just got a new PC, everything works smoothly, however whenever I try to plug in my ethernet, it'll connect for a random amount of time (few hours or few days) and then mysteriously it disconnects.

I try unplugging and replugging it into my PC but with no results. Only when I remove it from the router and replug it in to a different port does it finally connect, but this is only a temporary solution.

Any ideas?

Drivers don't need updating, I've already checked.

    The way I fixed it was by rolling back to a previous version of my Realtek network adapter driver.
    Here's my driver:

    The version that caused this issue for me was:

    1153.6.418.2022 (there could be other versions that are having this same issue)

    Dated: 4/19/2022

    The version I rolled back to which fixed the problem for me was:
    10.38.117.2020
    Dated: 9/26/2015

    Could be other newer versions that fix the problem but this worked for me and I've already wasted to much time trying to troubleshoot it.

    As I've mentioned in other posts, I had tried nearly everything to solve this problem. But I had not tried rolling back the Realtek USB ethernet driver.

    I had also been running the 4/19/2022 version previously. I was able to find a previous version on Dell's website (2.45.2020.214, A00 from March 2020).

    After rolling back, my Ethernet has not lost its connection for over 20 hours according to the Internet Connection Monitor Chrome plugin. Usually, it disconnects in under 5 minutes.

    Crossing my fingers that this end-around continues to work until a driver or Windows update permanently fixes the problem.

    Note: As far as I know, I am not running a VLAN on my home network. No evidence in my modem/router config screens. But I have so many access points and (unmanaged) switches in my network that I can't say for sure.

    Our organization seems to have figure out the issue, however we don't have a fix. It seems to be related to Windows 11.

    If a device has Windows 11 and is connected to Ethernet via a docking station, USB to Ethernet Adapter to a network that HAS VLANs, there will be Ethernet connectivity problems. However, if the Windows 11 Machine HAS a native Ethernet port, then there is no issue.

    If a Windows 11 device is connected to Ethernet via a docking station, USB to Ethernet Adapter to a network WITHOUT VLANs, then there are not any Ethernet connectivity problems.

    We do not have any issues with Ethernet no matter the method when the machine is running Windows 10. Regardless if VLANs/Docking Stations/USB to Ethernet Adapters are in play.

    Long story short - Windows 11 does not work with Ethernet Adapters/Docking Stations on Networks that have VLANs.

    Same here. I received a brand new Lenovo X1 Yoga 7th gen preinstalled with Windows 11 Pro and I’ve never been able to connect directly to my router. My old machine, which is a Lenovo X1 Yoga 3rd gen and uses Windows 10, has no problem with Ethernet connectivity.

    I’m using a USBC to Ethernet, not a docking station, and I’ve tried several different adapters, which all work with my old machine that uses Windows 10.

    I am having the same issue with a new Surface Pro8 running windows 11. My surface pro 4 windows 10 doesn't have the connection problem... ethernet keeps disconnecting and restarting (which destroys my VPN connection for work).

    Using the same router...

    I have also tried an old Asus lap top, no connection problems at all

    MacBook Air, no problem at all

    Surface Pro 4 Win 10, no problem at all.

    Someone in our office is also having the problem with a new Surface Pro 8
